Third project meeting of the International project CPEA-ST/10081 TENOR Towards Circular Economy in Organic Farming took place in the city of Minsk, Belarus.
The project implementation was discussed by Harsha Ratnaweera, Zakhar Maletskiy, Elisabeth Sundheim Hoff from NMBU (Norway), Alla Kucherova, Oleg Pinchuk, Olga Stepanchenko from NUWEE (Ukraine), Andriy Yakymchuk from "Renome Eurobud"(Ukraine), Martin Oldenburg from OWL UAS (Germany), Aliaksandr Dubina, Artyom Vorobiov from BSTU (Belarus).
During the discussion, the annual report for 2018 was presented, where the completion of planned tasks was reflected, such as development of training course, seminars attended by non-academic partners, participation in joint research activities and publications, student mobilities, etc. The project prototype which will be constructed in NUWEE was analysed in details. Conceptions of the closed cycle approach to utilisation of water, nutrients and heat, based on rational resources usage were considered. Particular attention was paid to cooperation of universities and enterprises in the implementation of project ideas within urban and organic farming.
Joint sessions were conducted with participants of International project CPEA-2011/10002 Water Harmony – Integration of Education, Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (
Water Harmony-II).
The program of the meeting included participation in the seminar "Wastewater as pollutant and resource of the future. Management, treatment, extraction of valuable components and reuse", where Associate Professor of the Department of Hydroinformatics Oleg Pinchuk presented his report "Technical solutions on utilisation of heat potential of warm waste water of industrial and energetic objects in farming". During the meeting, participants visited the "Water and heat" exhibition.
